Jenna Ditto is an assistant professor in the Department of Energy, Environmental, and Chemical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to WashU, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Toronto from 2020-2022, and worked jointly in the Department of Chemical Engineering and the Department of Chemistry. She earned her Ph.D. in 2020 from the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at Yale University.
She uses a range of mass spectrometry tools to investigate the molecular-level composition of complex mixtures of gases and particles in the air we breathe. Her group seeks to understand the relationship between indoor and outdoor air: how does polluted outdoor air impact indoor chemical transformations and human exposure, and what are the impacts of our daily indoor activities on the outdoor environment?
